The next day, we slept in and went out for a nice brunch in the morning. It was a chilly, breezy day. Our next destination was the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. After breakfast, we got into the car and drove to Glasgow which was just an hour away. Let us just say, this is one of the most beautiful buildings that we have ever seen! We really appreciated being able to visit the museum free of charge as well. As we walked through, we noticed 22 themed galleries that had a total of 8,000 objects on display! The collections had artwork from all over the world, representing the international importance to Scotland. All of our eyes lit up in awe from the amount of natural history and historical movements. The most popular painting on display was the ‘Christ of St John of the Cross’ masterpiece, created by Salvador Dali. Even in the West Court of the museum, there is a gigantic spitfire airplane that’s hung from the ceiling that looks so realistic! We were so impatient to see the exhibit titled the French Gallery, featuring works from famous artists including Monet and Van Gogh. As if there wasn’t enough to see already, some other popular attractions included Sir Roger the Asian Elephant, and ‘Man in Armour’, which were both historical French figures in the 19th century. Our favorite galleries were the Dutch gallery and the astounding Kelvingrove Organ. We attended their three o'clock recital and all of our jaws dropped. The array of classical pieces played had such feeling that Emmie started tearing up. (here is a link to their tenth anniversary performance: tiny.cc/n4ru0y ) Another highlight of our adventure there was the Arms and Armour gallery. The suits of armour had impeccable craftsmanship! It was like we were peering directly into the medieval era as we saw the intricate spears and armour. The sculpture of with the hanging heads on the ceiling was definitely interesting.

to go pick up dinner for us. When they got back to the apartment, we all ate dinner together.
After dinner, we got our showers and made preparations for the next day. We laid our clothes out,
charged our phones, and packed lunch for the upcoming day. We were all very exhausted, so
we decided to lounge in the living room and watch a movie. We were all so tired, that 2 of us fell
asleep before the movie ended. We all finally went to bed, anticipating the next day and the fun
activities planned over the next week.
